Go ‘night owling’ at Mount Timpanogos

Head to Mount Timpanogos in Utah Valley for Night Owling, a professionally guided snow shoe tour presented by the Great Basin Wildlife Rescue through Sundance Mountain Resort. On Jan. 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., experts will use live owls to teach participants about wildlife in the winter and how to call and locate owls in the area. Tickets are $60 a person and include a guide, equipment rental and a pass. Calls 801-225-4107 for availability and booking.

Feb. 4

See Ballet Hispánico at BYU

BYU Arts presents Ballet Hispánico on Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Pardoe Theatre on campus. Ballet Hispánico is a national Latino dance organization that just celebrated its 50th anniversary. Tickets are $35 for the general public and can be bought online at bit.ly/3o0QT3M. Per university guidelines, this event requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test taken in the last 72 hours (required for those ages 12 and up). Masks are required inside the venue. No babies or children under age 6 will be admitted.

Feb. 5

Dance to the music of Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo

Join Urban Lounge (241 500 E., Salt Lake City) on Feb. 5 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. for “22 and good 4 u,” a dance party featuring the music of pop stars Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. Tickets are $15 in advance (available online at bit.ly/3G7GpG6) or $20 the day of. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 72 hours is required for entry. Note that this is a 21+ event.
