Boulder, Colo. • Utah starting right tackle Kelvin Obot exited the Utes’ matchup versus Colorado midway through the first quarter with a right ankle injury.

Utah head coach Morgan Scalley said after the game he expects the former five-star recruit to be OK.

“Kelvin Obot went out, and he should be fine,” Scalley said after the game. “It’s an ankle [injury]. We’re still trying to figure out if it’s going to be a high ankle sprain or whatever that is.”

It appeared Obot was rolled up on after a four-yard rush by junior running back Wayshawn Parker.

Parker and several other Utah teammates tried to help the freshman right tackle off the turf, but he struggled to put weight on his leg.

He was helped off the field by a pair of Utah offensive linemen, clearly favoring his right leg. He did not return to the game on Utah’s next offensive possession.
