Avery Neff’s return is official.
The Utah star freshman and former No. 1 recruit will participate in the Red Rocks’ uneven bars routine on Friday night against No. 19 Arizona. The meet is at 7 p.m. at the Huntsman Center (ESPN+).
Neff has been out for nearly a month after spraining both of her ankles vs. Iowa State on Jan. 17. Just a few weeks ago she was wearing soft casts on both ankles and riding around on a scooter.
Now, less than a month later, Neff is healthy once again. It is expected she’ll be eased back into Utah’s other rotations by the end of the season.
She earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Week twice before missing time with her injury.
