Utah (4-6, 1-6 Big 12) is set to take on No. 22 Iowa State (8-2, 5-2) this evening for its final home game of the 2024 season.in
The Utes are looking to end a six-game losing skid that has them in the cellar of the Big 12 Conference. With only two games left on the schedule, Kyle Whittingham and Utah will have to win out to earn bowl eligibility.
The Cyclones, on the other hand, are fighting for a place in the Big 12 Championship game. A win over Utah — and losses from other Big 12 contenders — would keep them in the race for another week, while a loss would all but eliminate them from contention.
Utah holds a 1-4 all-time record against the Cyclones, with its lone win coming in 2010 during its final season in the Mountain West. In that game the Utes defeated ISU 68-27 in Ames, Iowa.
