Cam Rising has never been shy with his words, and he certainly didn’t hold back during Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday.
When asked about Utah facing its in-state rival BYU on Nov. 9 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah’s starting quarterback added more fuel to the schools’ intense rivalry.
“Absolutely,” Rising said, when asked about the return of the matchup, “I just want to go down there and whoop their a--, pretty much. That’s all I’m focused on.”
The last time Utah faced BYU was on Sept. 11, 2021, when it was defeated 26-17 in Provo.
Since 2010, the Utes have a 10-1 record vs. the Cougars. With Utah’s entrance to the Big 12, the rivalry is back on for the foreseeable future.
