Utah earned a commitment from four-star linebacker Christian Thatcher on Sunday evening.
Thatcher is the first four-star commitment in the Utes’ 2025 recruiting class, joining three-star recruits Sione Motuapuaka, Karson Kaufusi, Max Fonoimoana, Drew Clemens, Nela Tupou, Shaker Reisig and Wyatt Becker.
Hailing from Arbor View High School in Las Vegas, Thatcher chose Utah over offers from Oklahoma, Kansas, USC, Washington and Colorado.
He is the No. 32-ranked linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 5-overall player in Nevada according to On3′s Industry Ranking. As it stands, Utah’s 2025 recruiting class ranks 11th in the Big 12 and 55th in the nation according to On3′s Team Rankings.
