Utah women’s basketball team’s winning streak comes to a skidding halt

No. 25 Oregon State blows out the No. 16 Utes 91-66

The Utah women’s basketball team’s four-game winning streak ended with a thud on Sunday, as No. 25 Oregon State routed the No. 16 Utes 91-66 in Corvallis, Ore.

Utah trailed by double digits early in the first half and despite a strong fourth quarter couldn’t make the comeback.

The Utes were led by Alissa Pili, who put up 28 points. Matyson Wilke scored 11 points for Utah, and Dasia Young added 10, but the Utes went 9 of 33 from 3-point range.

Utah is now 15-6 overall on the season and 5-4 in Pac-12 play. Oregon State improved to 17-3 and 6-3.

Oregon State went 13 of 20 from 3-point range. Reagen Beers scored 20 points to lead five Beavers players in double figures.

The Beavers led 78-42 entering the fourth quarter. Utah outscored the Beavers 24-13 in the final stanza.
