Pat McAfee reveals College GameDay’s celebrity picker for Utah-Oregon football

Steve Smith, a former Utes football and NFL player, will appear on College GameDay to make his prediction along with ESPN panelists.

Fans now know what celebrity will pick who will win between the No. 13 Utah Utes (6-1) and No. 8 Oregon Ducks (6-1) on Saturday.

Steve Smith, a former Ute football and NFL player, will join the ESPN panelists on College GameDay on Saturday to make his prediction for who will win between the Utes and Ducks. The choice was revealed Friday on The Pat McAfee Show.

Smith played for Utah in 1999 and 2000, when coach Kyle Whittingham was the defensive coordinator for the team. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2001 with the 74th overall pick. He retired from the NFL in 2017.

Perhaps Smith’s most famous highlight as a Ute came when he returned a punt for a touchdown with just one cleat because a defender took off the other one as he tried to tackle Smith to the ground. He finished his Utah career with 1,603 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, per Sports Reference.

College GameDay has visited Utah four previous times. Some of the celebrity pickers on those visits include Utah Jazz legend John Stockton, comedian and impersonator Frank Caliendo and actor Ty Burrell.
