Needing to bolster its front line size, Utah men’s basketball coach Craig Smith has secured a commitment from former Illinois State center Dusan Mahorcic.

The 6-foot 10 junior from Belgrade, Serbia, averaged 10 points and seven rebounds per game for the Redbirds last season and immediately provides an interior presence for the Utes, joining returning center Branden Carlson up front.

Mahorcic will have two years to play. His commitment leaves the Utes with just one more scholarship for the 2021-22 season.
