The Utah State men’s basketball team made another addition Monday.
The Aggies got Matthew Wickizer, the team announced, after the 6-foot-9 forward recently returned from a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Wickizer is a local high school product. He played at Kearns High, where he led the Cougars to a region championship in 2017-18.
“Wick has great size, skill, and can really shoot the ball,” Aggies coach Craig Smith said in a statement. “He grew up an Aggie fan and has tremendous passion for the Aggies. He fits the culture of our program as he will do whatever it takes for our team to be successful.”
Wickizer’s father, Nate, played for USU from 1992-95.
