How to watch Real Salt Lake in the Major League Soccer playoffs

RSL begins its first-round series Tuesday at America First Field.

Real Salt Lake just had its best regular season ever.

But if the club wants to add to its trophy case, there’s more work to do.

RSL begins a quest for the MLS Cup on Tuesday night, hosting Minnesota United in the first round of the playoffs.

RSL (16-7-11, 59 points) comes into the best-of-three series riding a six-game unbeaten streak.

“We’re humble enough to know we can always be better but confident enough to know we have what we need,” RSL coach Pablo Mastroeni said Monday.

The two teams last met on Oct. 2 at America First Field in a game that ended in a scoreless draw.

“They’re playing with a lot of confidence,” Mastroeni said of Minnesota. “They’ve done a really good job of not giving up goals. Defense has been a priority for them. Breaking those guys down will be really important and they’re also dangerous on the counter. They’ll pose some problems we’ve got to solve.”

RSL and Minnesota have drawn the last four times they’ve played each other, dating back to the 2023 season. In 2022, the teams split the season series, each club winning at home.
