Palacio is the fourth Colombian player RSL has signed this season. The others are Brayan Vera, Carlos Andrés Gómez and Cristian “Chicho” Arango. The club broke a transfer fee record with Arango’s signing earlier this month.

While Palacio won’t be expected to score goals, his role as a physical midfielder could bolster RSL’s defense. He could be eligible to play games as soon as July 8, when Arango is also expected to make his first appearance.
