Utah Jazz say goodbye to Russell Westbrook — again

The nine-time All-Star is expected to sign with the Denver Nuggets.

The Utah Jazz waived Russell Westbrook on Saturday, after acquiring the former MVP from the L.A. Clippers.

The Jazz signed free agent Kris Dunn and traded him to Los Angeles in exchange for Westbrook, the draft rights to Balsa Koprivica (a 2021 pick), a future second-round pick swap and cash.

This is the second time the Jazz have picked up Westbrook — who has averaged 21.7 points, 8.1 assists and 7.1 rebounds during his 16 NBA seasons — in a trade only to waive him.

Westbrook is expected to sign with the Denver Nuggets.
