If you have a Twitter account and a pulse, you’ve probably seen some leaks of the Utah Jazz fourth uniform designed by Nike.
But the team announced Tuesday that it officially will reveal the new jerseys Dec. 27, likely slating them for a game debut in January.
The rumor mill has gotten ahead of the planned release of many of Nike’s “City” jerseys, which have been promised as some of the most personal designs of the NBA overhaul. While Utah’s blue and white jerseys mostly have been kept the same as last season, the third uniform was revealed as gold, which initially was met with some skepticism but seemingly has been approved when worn on the court.
The fourth uniform will be a tribute Utah’s scenic landscape, particularly the red rocks of the southern part of the state. The Jazz released a video Tuesday that revealed some of the inspiration for the jersey design.
Most teams represent a city. In Utah, the @utahjazz represent an entire state. Enjoy, Utah, you are spectacular. https://t.co/zdtRGoieum

Leaks ranging from mock-up designs to designs released by NBA 2K show a jersey that has gradient stripes from gold at the top to dark red at the bottom.

It remains to be seen how closely those resemble the actual uniforms. Jazz team president Steve Starks said earlier this year that fans would be “excited and proud” to see them unveiled. They’re finally coming out — so we’ll see.
