The Utah Grizzliers' Ryan Faragher has been named the ECHL goaltender of the week.
Faragher had a 2.05 goals-against average and a save percentage of .947 in three appearances last week against Colorado.
He stopped all 21 shots that he faced in 26:48 of playing time in a 5-2 win in a relief effort at Colorado on Friday following an injury to starter Rob Nichols. He turned aside 41 shots in a 4-1 victory over the Eagles on Saturday.
Under a National Hockey League contract with Anaheim, Faragher has seen action in 103 career games with Utah posting a record of 51-36-11 with six shutouts, a 2.69 goals-against average and a save percentage of .908.
It marks the third straight season that Faragher has earned the award at least once.
