How to watch BYU football on the road in Wyoming

The Cougars could be making their final trip to War Memorial, ending more than 100 years of history.

Laramie, Wyo • This might be the final trip BYU makes to War Memorial Stadium after more than 100 years of history in Laramie.

Cougars’ quarterback Jake Retzlaff knows the reality and intends to make the final soiree count.

The first time BYU went to Wyoming in 1922, its offense was shutout. This time, it’s imperative that doesn’t happen — for Retzlaff’s sake. The Cougars quarterback needs to get his offense into gear before Big 12 play starts. That means leading an efficient attack and taking care of the football so the pressure around his job security can subside.

Interestingly, in the 102-year history of this rivalry, BYU has never had a longer winning streak in the series than it does now. The Cougars have won the last nine meetings, spanning back to 2004.

With this series likely going dormant at the end of this game, both teams will be playing for final bragging rights. BYU can either end it on a double-digit win streak — something neither program has ever achieved — or the Cowboys can pull off an upset to talk about for years to come.
