BYU and Gonzaga are no strangers to making changes to their schedules on the fly. With five West Coast Conference teams on pause due to COVID-19, the Cougars and Zags have dealt with recent cancelations.
The most recent cancelation for BYU came on Tuesday, just hours before they were going to tipoff at San Diego.
Instead of filling in a replacement game on Saturday (BYU plays at Portland Thursday), the Cougars opted to move up their contest with Gonzaga.
Originally, the Zags were going to come to Provo Feb. 27 in the regular season finale, but will now face BYU on Monday at the Marriott Center at 9 p.m.
Both teams previously met on Jan. 7, when BYU was left looking for an opponent following three straight conference postponements. The Cougars fell to No. 1 Gonzaga, 86-69.
