The Play That Goes Wrong: The Zany Crowd Favorite
Director Geoffrey Kent pared down the entirety of the play into this description: “What you are about to witness is essentially a ‘greatest hits’ roller derby of a show that contains all of the worst things to ever befall an actor in front of an audience.”
This hilarious comedy of epically preposterous proportions will have you on the edge of your seat––or falling out of it––with laughter!
“It’s one of the funniest plays written in the past ten years, and it’s completely accessible to audience members [of all ages],” Kent said.

The Greenshow: A Free Family Event
Each evening, Monday-Saturday at 7:10pm, the Utah Shakespeare Festival offers a free Greenshow. This outdoor family-friendly entertainment consists of music, dancing, storytelling, and audience participation and is the perfect way to spend your summer evening––or to prepare for an evening play at the Festival!
This season, enjoy three themes– The Hills of Appalachia and English Regency Garden Party written and directed by Britannia Howe, and Paiute Heritage and Celebration produced by Roger Clark. The three shows will rotate throughout the week.
Howe has written eleven Greenshows in the span of four years, and has come back again this season to again write and direct.
“The Greenshow is a community celebration,” Howe said. There’s something for everyone–– humor, dance, music, and narrative.”
