Cardinal Moran Mor Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, patriarch of the Maronite Catholic Church, visited Salt Lake City on Friday to speak at the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City’s Pastoral Center.
The 77-year-old Lebanese cleric also celebrated Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Holladay.
Boutros al-Rahi is known for his efforts to reach out to Muslims in his war-torn Middle Eastern nation.
