So President Trump will give $5,000 to every American adult if, and only if, Republicans win both houses in the midterms. Isn’t that offering a bribe to vote a certain way?
If that isn’t illegal, it should be.
Why haven’t all members of Congress condemned it? Do they have no sense of ethics? The most pressing problem facing our economy is the growing federal debt, but apparently Republicans have no qualms about increasing that debt if it will keep them in power.
I wonder if Americans will fall for it; after all, the president isn’t offering to pay the $5,000 out of the billions he and his family or his friends like Elon have made while in office. And since the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” the president has made clear he won’t raise taxes on the rich. So who do we think will pay for this $5,000?
That $5,000 will come out of our taxpayer money, after we’ve lost money through higher gas prices and higher food prices due to a war we didn’t want or need and tariffs that we common people pay for.
I just wonder if we are stupid enough to fall for this sleight of hand. Sadly, probably.
