Chaos is enveloping the nation and not a peep. The alarms are ringing loud across the country and I am not hearing any response or concern from our Utah delegation. Are they silent because they don’t want to be bullied by the president? Or are they silent because they don’t want to have to justify their stance?
As the chaos and harm continue to degrade our national security, it is business as usual for our senators and representatives while the list of poor governance decisions grows longer: 1. the unconstitutional idea dissolving birthright citizenship; 2. the firing of FBI leadership (retribution) and inspectors general; 3. the pardoning of Jan. 6 convicted violent criminals; 4. nominating multiple unqualified people to Cabinet posts, 5. the illegal freezing of funding across the government, 6. the firing of Justice Department prosecutors (retribution again). This list has serious national security and economic implications and not one of our delegates has voiced any concern.
The silence exhibited by Mike Lee, John Curtis, and the gang of four tells me they are OK with the nation falling into chaos, they are OK with giving the president unbridled power, they are OK with the chaos tanking the economy, and OK with putting our national security in disarray. China and Russia are throwing parties. Silence is no way to participate in leading our nation and chaos is no way to run a country.
And the president loves it. Chaos allows him to distract everyone while doing whatever he wants. He could not care less what the Senate or House thinks as long as they allow him full reign.
Our delegation’s lack of a backbone must not silence us. We must be loud and stand strong or we will pay the price and be ruled by evil men.
