Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta/Facebook, recently dined at Mar-a-Lago with President-elect Donald Trump. He then declared that Facebook would cease any efforts to fact check anything, including what Trump and Republicans say. What could possibly go wrong?
There has also been much in the news about Nvidia and their new super computers, which will change the world as much as the invention of the printing press. This will allow Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) to be much more powerful, for good or bad. Current computing power is already awesome.
Let’s put this computing power to good use fact checking everything!
It could be done virtually instantly and in real time. Whenever a politician tells a significant lie, on TV or on social media, there would be a loud beep and a meter would show the extent of the lie. It would explain its sources as to why this is considered a lie. It is unfortunate that it was not used before the election. This could also be used on Facebook and other social media posts.
A nonpartisan group could set up the algorithms for the computers and these algorithms would be public.
Let’s use technology to work for us and not against average Americans!
