Letter: Here are some of the wonderful life lessons being instilled by the sports transfer portal

What lessons are our beloved student athletes learning from the college sports transfer portal?

  1. Rather than working harder to get what I want, I’ll just go somewhere that I think will be what I want.

  2. I can just quit on my teammates and brothers.

  3. Loyalty is a useless attribute.

  4. Money is more important than friendship, hard work, team work and everything else in the world.

  5. If I go somewhere else and I’m still not good enough, I will quit on them and go somewhere else.

  6. Being a primadonna is all I care about (oh, and money)…

  7. The coaches that recruited me and spent time and resources on me and have been like fathers and brothers to me deserve nothing in return because I’m said prima Donna.

  8. The school that gave me my education, food, housing, family, and opportunities for free and even paid me money (nowadays, a lot of money) deserve only a thank you letter on X and then the finger as I head to the greener grass.

  9. I am not responsible for anything.

  10. I am above such things as commitment, community, signed documents, and any other binding agreement.

These are such wonderful life lessons that we are teaching these young people. Keep it up NCAA! Pretty soon college sports will be run by sports books and the corruption will be so immense that I’m going to quit watching and find some greener grass.
