Utah leaders want Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall to “get tough” on homelessness.
If our Utah leaders are so concerned about getting “tough,” how about the Utah leaders “get tough” on:
• The pervasive and serious lack of affordable housing.
• The lack of a livable state minimum wage — the lack of food resources.
• The lack of affordable social and mental health services.
How about it, Utah leaders? How “tough” are you?
Get “tough” on the real problems, not on the unsheltered who are desperately trying to survive the best way they know how.
