It would be very interesting to read an article that graded, or reported on, what has actually been accomplished with the passing of the infrastructure bill, Chips Bill and/or the Inflation Reduction Act.
How much of the total allocated has been spent? How much is unallocated? What has been completed and what stages are other projects? How much has gone to states for projects of discretion? How many water, road, bridge and internet access improvements have been made? How much can be clawed back by a new administration?
The only information I can find is piecemeal articles and minor mentions on podcasts. One podcast mentions there have been extremely few new rural internet connections while they could have increased access multitudes already by connecting to StarLink for free.
An article mentions how important a state’s allocation for new water systems was in bringing clean water and creating new jobs. Another mentions massive amounts of graft and waste.
I know it’s a challenge to sift through massive amounts of data sets to create an accurate and informative piece. I also know the newest version of ChatGBT4, if you frame questions appropriately, can provide immense help to create a baseline to get that large a project started.
What do you think?
