Letter: Trump’s accusations are simply revelations of his own crass behavior and actions

The world is a mirror. Everything Trump sees in others is a reflection of himself. He is in essence, degrading, diminishing, insulting and persecuting only himself. His accusations are revelations of his own behavior and actions. He interacts with himself, outside of himself, because he has no sense of presence within himself. He is therefore always punishing the world simply because it responds to him with distaste.

The irony of this is the office he is running for. Make no mistake, there is no political content or any facet of the job description that he actually gives a damn about. He is needy for a stage. He is yearning for a positive response, even in his process of hurting others. He is not really “present” in the same reality we are.

There is a saying, " We see the world not as it is, but as we are.”

Truth is simple. This man has been screaming at himself through the medium of the world stage more and more for all his life. Let’s not lose our own rationality and put him in control of a country filled with millions of lives. That is akin to “mass destruction” of some sort. Our learning requirement now is to free ourselves from taking anything he spews out as something that is supposed to be rational.

Our challenge is to choose not to react. It is to choose to give him no power whatsoever over our emotions, and to do the rational thing out of compassion, not only for our country, but even for him. There is no road ahead for him that has anything whatsoever to do with the fantasy he entertains while floating into the lethal distortions he identifies as “truth.”
