Letter: Our concrete rivers are wide enough to destroy any views of mountains now. Change course, UDOT.

The UDOT is feeding us a line again. They want to widen I-15 because there are still homes and businesses north of Point of the Mountain and that isn’t acceptable. They claim more lanes of freeway will reduce pollution by smoothing traffic flow.

So-Cal has proved that to be false; more lanes means longer commutes and more traffic. Their second claim is that 30 years from now we will all be commuting on public transport. That requires building tracks and buying buses and trains. Skip step one and do step two. Our concrete rivers are wide enough to destroy any views of mountains now. Build the infrastructure for TRAX and bus lines.
