Us “childless cat ladies,” and gentlemen, pay taxes like everyone else. We pay local taxes, but we get to use the roads. We pay federal taxes and enjoy the protection of the United States Armed Forces. We pay school taxes, yet we make no demands on the education system or expect it to care for any offspring. So yes, our votes count just as much as anyone else’s.
By the way, George Washington was childless.
