Letter: How to tell a scientist is credible when talking about the effects of pollution

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Air pollution obscures downtown Salt Lake City on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023.

Any scientist that has any ability to use his knowledge without the influence of some special interest will admit that any time you wish to go from point A to point B faster than a horse will carry/pull you, you will create pollution that will eventually kill you.

There is nothing you can do about it. You may delay that demise or change the manner you die but in the end it will destroy your ability to populate this planet sooner than the sun eventually will.

If you stop to parse that sentence you will realize the absolute truth in it. (Provided you can think past the end of your nose.) Go ask a scientist. If he disagrees with this then you know you are talking to a moron.
