Letter: The gondola is the epitome of Utah’s core motto

Robert Gehrke’s piece in a recent edition of The Tribune is spot on. He says what many of us have known about the gondola from the beginning — that it is simply a subsidy for the rich and powerful.

But why should we be surprised? After living in Utah for the last 40 years, I’ve learned that the “Utah Way” means: “It’s about the money, more money is always better, and it isn’t worth a damn if you can’t make a buck off of it.”
