Letter: A referendum on the new Utah flag would reflect what the majority prefers

Reading a recent Tribune article regarding the flag battle, it reminded me of a situation I had with our HOA about a year ago.

I received the minutes of an HOA meeting and there was a comment that there had been several complaints about condo owners decorating their units more than just at Christmas. I wrote back to the HOA and asked if the complaints were from a majority of owners, or just a few, and that it should probably be put to a vote by all.

Turns out, changes were made that allow owners to express their interests and enjoy decorating for other holidays throughout the year.

So, having the flag proposition on the 2024 ballot would reflect more what the majority would like. If it passes, all will know it is something most want. What’s wrong with that, people?
