Letter: Remember Reagan? Then let’s put today’s inflation into perspective.

It might be wise to thoughtfully consider some of the claims being made about who can best handle inflation.

In 1985 I purchased a house with a mortgage rate right below 13%.

This was the second term in office for President Ronald Reagan.

That rate was pretty much the standard at that time and inflation was a serious problem.
