In a recent letter to the editor, Rob Greene discussed just some of the bills that Mike Lee voted against. On that same day, The Tribune quoted GOP vice chairman, Jordan Hess, that electing Evan McMullin would mean that because he won’t caucus with either party that he wouldn’t have any committee assignments (a lie) and that he wouldn’t have any influence in the Senate.
What has Utah received with the “influence” that Mike Lee has? Not only has he consistently voted against “common sense” bills and helped shut down the government, in twelve years he has only passed four bills! And two of those bills were for the naming of buildings. Contrast that with a true statesman, Orrin Hatch, who passed 1,300 bills.
Look at Evan McMullin’s background and experience. This election is an opportunity to rise above partisan politics and elect the best person for the job. Evan McMullin is someone who will get things done for Utah.
