It should surprise no one that Mike Lee’s re-election campaign slogan is “Join the Fight.” In his 11 years in office, Lee has accomplished nothing except to fight for the sake of fighting.
Our self-proclaimed “constitutional scholar” has voted against a bill to get disability benefits to those suffering from ALS more quickly; voted against Smithsonian museums for Latinos and women; voted against a COVID relief bill that would have sent money to his constituents; voted against the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund; voted against aid for Ukraine; voted against making a former Japanese internment camp a historic site; voted against every one of President Biden’s Cabinet picks.
The list goes on and on.
Lee consistently tries to show he’s the smartest man in the room (he’s not) when he is in tiny minorities fighting common sense legislation.
Sometimes, he is the only senator holding things up. With all his fighting against, what does Lee fight for? Not much, other than illegal attempts to overthrow an election. Lee is an embarrassment to the U.S. Senate and to the State of Utah.
