So Rob Bishop has quit the Utah Independent Redistricting Commission because he thinks it is too “metro-centric” and does not give enough attention to the more rural parts of the state. He further states, “You can gerrymander a congressional race.” Exactly the point, Mr. Bishop.
It seems in Bishop’s view it is just fine to do that when it favors Republicans and completely denies the state’s non-Republicans any sort of national representation. I guess a plan that might allow representation of all Utahns does not meet with his approval.
Mr. Bishop, please consider removing your blinders and see the whole picture.
