Letter: We could all see it coming

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” ― Edmund Burke

However, Utah individuals - like Sen. Mike Lee, Rep. Christopher Stewart, Rep. Burgess Owens, Attorney General Sean Reyes - and the majority of the GOP in Washington have actively supported the pathological lies of President Trump. They are complicit in the attempted destruction of our democracy and there need to be severe consequences for their seditious behavior. They have actively enabled Trump’s temper-tantrums denying the election results. This led to President Trump vigorously urging his supporters to stage a coup in front of the White House with its unnecessary violence and loss of lives.

All these dishonest individuals including the president need to resign for the sake of our nation. They cannot be trusted. Their actions have shown they fundamentally prefer to be led by a dictator.

This is about the necessity of good men and women objecting to the culmination of four years of evil rule by President Trump and his enablers.

President-elect Biden won the popular vote by more than 7 million votes. It is past time for every vote to count equally by abolishing the Electoral College.
