When I glanced at Brian Maffly’s article in The Salt Lake Tribune about June suckers, I expected to read a story about Utah Rep. Chris Stewart.
He, like fellow Rep. Burgess Owens, joined a challenge against electoral votes in yet another attempt to keep Donald Trump in office. Maffly got the month wrong, however. We’re talking about January suckers. The challenge is not only a ridiculous long shot, it is yet another embarrassing demonstration of bottom-feeding by Stewart.
As for Owens, a former NFL player, I can only assume that his fealty to POTUS is the result of too many hits to the head.
The election is over. Trump lost. It is past time for Utah’s representatives to work toward a united country, not the other way around.
