This is going to sound whiney and self-serving. In the jockeying for position in the COVID vaccination queue, one group has not been explicitly mentioned: members of the phase three vaccine trials who received the placebo. There are rumors that the Moderna participants have already been unblinded and have access to the vaccine.
The same is not true for us Pfizer participants. I am 70 years old and have other physical factors that put me at higher risk for severe illness if the virus catches me. I am asking the line monitors to consider moving me and other members of the phase three cohorts who received the placebo as close as possible to next in line for our jabs.
