It seems like everyone is losing their collective minds about Donald Trump issuing pardons to people who have been loyal to him throughout his presidency.
A couple of points to consider: Did anyone really expect that he would not do that? What is the point of having political power if you do not use it?
The other side also made controversial pardons. President-elect Joe Biden will do the same thing when he leaves office. Bank on it.
When the Republicans pushed through Amy Coney-Barret for Supreme Court justice, is there a person on the planet who believes the Democrats wouldn’t have done the same thing given the chance?
Having political power is better than not having political power.
