On Aug. 4, The Salt Lake Tribune published an article with the headline “Stewart fears a divided U.S. will ‘commit national suicide.’”
That article concluded, "Stewart isn't the first to claim that China deliberately allowed the virus to spread. President Donald Trump made that very assertion in June but quickly acknowledged that it could just as well have been unintentional. The president conceded he had no evidence to support the assertion. ... Stewart didn't offer such evidence Monday."
On Aug. 9, George Pyle responded with an op-ed headlined "Stewart worries about suicide while he peddles hemlock."
Thank goodness for eminently rational candidates like Kael Weston, who is running against Hemlock Man for Congress in Utah's 2nd Congressional District.
Stewart supports a "president" who has failed to respond to evidence that Russia is paying bounties to those who kill American soldiers in Afghanistan.
In “The Mirror Test” (2016), Weston has written rationally about America’s endless wars in the Middle East. As a State Department award-winning diplomat, Weston is not enamored of death or the idea of national suicide. Rather, Weston has more than a decade of experience bringing adversaries together to overcome fear and work to create opportunities for a better future.
Ditch Hemlock Man for a better future.
