Thanks to The Salt Lake Tribune for its recent coverage of the TestUtah/Meds in Motion/Utah Legislature connection.
What should have been a transparent process involving the Utah Legislature was anything but. How quickly bad things happen when there is a lack of transparency and public oversight.
We've seen too many incidents of people profiting from the misery of others and government institutions working in the dark, enabled by the pandemic. It makes me wonder what else is happening that we're not seeing.
There’s another “project” of the Utah Legislature that will adversely affect all our health for decades. We haven’t heard from the Utah Inland Port Authority for months, yet the project is moving forward without public scrutiny.
When they do present their business plan, will we be able to weigh in? Or will they take advantage of our current situation to shut us out? If the public is unable to participate in this process, it should not move forward.
