According to recent news reports, Donald Trump has ordered his name to appear on all the relief checks. Is he signing the COVID-19 death certificates also?
That order is a typical totally selfish, vain and ego-maniacal political gesture, obviously intended to deflect attention from his failure to take responsibility and lead our country meaningfully.
Nice he can credit himself with giving Americans back their own money after they have endured so much hardship. How far would one of those checks go toward burying a family member or several?
He likes to blame our lack of preparedness on President Obama. (He probably would try to blame the toilet paper shortage on him too if he thought he could sell it to his base.) Let's remember that Obama was fighting a war and a recession at the same time during his administration, both residuals of the previous administration.
Trump had three years in office to replenish needed supplies if they were so depleted. The old phrase, "It wasn't raining when Noah started building the Ark," sums it up.
