Rep. Chris Stewart laments the hardships suffered by innocent people who have been accused of crimes.

“They have had their lives disrupted and in some cases destroyed by false accusation for which there is absolutely no basis other than some people desperately wish that it was so,” Stewart said.

Was he talking about people like Francisco, harassed and detained based on their appearance? No, he was despairing over the treatment of Donald Trump and associates. The same people who have brought us children in cages without blankets, babies without mothers, lies on a daily basis. Stewart wants sanctuary for those people.

Utah just celebrated the Days of ‘47, the time of Exodus, leaving a land of hate and searching for a new homeland and a new beginning. How do you reconcile the history of Utah with the hate and intolerance of the elected officials representing Utah?

Stewart proudly waves the flag of intolerance with his blind devotion to Trump. When is Utah going to elect someone that represents what the American Flag stands for?
