Letter: Trump didn’t cause Love to lose

I had some thoughts after reading the commentary on July 16 by Amber Phillips, “Republicans gain nothing criticizing Trump.”

I suspect that much of the article is true. However, being a Utah resident, I believe that Mia Love’s defeat by Democrat Ben Adams was mostly her own fault. She was ineffective in Congress and cold to her constituents, refused to conduct town halls. She did not deserve to be re-elected, whether President Trump’s comments influenced the voters or not.
