Children kept in sweltering vans, children forced to care for each other, children without basic hygiene tools, children sleeping on cement floors, children kept in cages, children separated from their families, seven children dead in U.S. custody after a previous decade of no deaths.
Where is your voice decrying this inhuman treatment of children and families seeking legal asylum? Have you forgotten (or perhaps don’t know about) the ship St. Louis filled with Jews escaping Nazi Germany only to be turned away and sent back to their deaths in concentration camps?
Where is your voice calling for hearing, allocating increased funds to mitigate this human crisis, passing humane and decent immigration reform, and voicing indignation to the administration?
The is not a partisan issue. It is a humanitarian crisis carried out under your watch by a morally bankrupt administration. Have you no moral compass?
