An article on the Feb. 18 Salt Lake Tribune Opinion page, “Trust the process at the Point of the Mountain,” co-written by Theresa Foxley and Wade Sherman, stated that two-thirds of the traffic on I-15 is just passing through.
If traffic is just passing through, why is a TRAX line at Point of the Mountain even being considered at this time? FrontRunner connects Salt Lake City, Sandy, Draper and Lehi. Before the state prison is relocated and that land vacated for the lust of developers, let commuters use FrontRunner.
In planning, there are many more options for transportation needs than a TRAX line competing with FrontRunner past the gravel pits at Point of the Mountain.
