I have developed a format for politicians running against the president and Congress in 2020. It’s simpler than those being considered by Democrats, Republicans and independents. Using it will result in defeat for the president and his congressional supporters.
The plan: Our candidates will not respond or refer to presidential tweets or to those tweets when they are repeated in the news or social media. Should our candidates be pressed to respond, they all will answer using their own words based on the paragraph below.
“The president has told over 10,000 lies since he appeared on the international scene. So, from this moment on, we’ll pay no attention to what he says, realizing he will likely never change his tactics. However, we have positive facts concerning what my party and I are doing now and will continue to do in 2020.”
Candidates then narrate the list: health care, Social Security, women’s rights, equality for all, tax cuts for all, minimum wage, immigration reform, etc. The story is similar for all.
Caution: We must resist referring to him personally as “Little Donny of the Bland,” or as “Our President with the body of a hippopotamus and the brain of an ant.” Do not say that!
