I am trying, without progress, to understand or maybe just comprehend how officials at Brigham Young University decide what is an infraction of “honor.” I guess it is spelled out in the “code,” but it is confusing at best when many gifted athletes are shown the door while Nick Emery is embraced after multiple years of significant transgressions that were selfish, without regard for other athletes and ethically blind.
Seems an awful lot like myopic values, or an out-of-focus view previously pointed out by Madi Barney. Regardless, once again in Provo, administrators at BYU have a hard time seeing the forest because of the trees.
