Letter: Pioneer Park by another name is still the same

Change the name, but it stays the same. Mormons and LDS to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Pioneer Park to Millennium Park West. But we taxpayers will surely foot the hefty bill on that park redevelopment!

Oh, the reason that Pioneer Park changes its personality on Saturday market days is because the vagrants have been herded across the street — some not even that far — by the numerous police officers patrolling the grounds. Do you really think we don't know that?

Try putting your idea of this enhanced park to a vote by the residents of Salt Lake City.
