Letter: Price gouging on drinks at venues shows Utah’s ridiculous killjoy ways

I recently caught Judas Priest at Vivint Smart Home Arena and was horrified when I noticed a single beer was $11! How are people expected to afford a night out? After all, my ticket was $75.

Utah always seems to find a way to keep people from having too good of a time. Usana Amphitheatre is no better with its $10 cans of beer that would cost me $1.50 at the grocery store.

I am simply fed up with the price gouging. I miss the good old days when I could take a cooler of beer to the Gallivan Center and enjoy some great rock and roll. Maybe if we all refuse to pay these ridiculous prices, things will change.
